The Silverado 1500 is Chevrolet’s half-ton full-size pickup that was redesigned for 2007. The Silverado 2500HD is Chevrolet’s heavy-duty three-quarter-ton pickup that was redesigned for 2007. Available in Regular Cab, Extended Cab, and Crew Cab versions with a choice of either standard (6 ft. 6-in.) and long (8 ft.) cargo box, the Silverado 2500HD features a more muscular design along with an all-new interior. The exterior features a new grille, headlights, hood, front fenders and a more aerodynamic windshield angle. To differentiate the Silverado 2500HD from the GMC Sierra 2500HD, the Silverado has a wider and taller dual-port grille with a prominent gold bow tie emblem at the center, large reflector-optic headlights and corner lights wrap around the front end and the fender flares have a squared-off appearance to complement the power dome hood design. Most Chevrolet Silverados come standard with the OnStar advanced communication system.
The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD adds a USB connection in the center console to play stored audio files through the audio system and for charging some handheld devices. Taupe Gray Metallic and Sheer Silver Metallic are new exterior colors.

The Silverado Hybrid is Chevrolet’s gasoline-electric hybrid half-ton pickup that returns to the Chevrolet lineup for 2009. The Silverado was redesigned for 2007 and the 2009 Silverado Hybrid is based on the redesigned truck and now features General Motor’s two-mode hybrid system that combines a 6.0-liter V8 Gen IV gasoline engine with Active Fuel Management and late intake valve closing technology with GM’s advanced Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT) and a 300-volt nickel-metal hydride Energy Storage System to achieve 40-percent greater city fuel economy and a 25-percent improvement in overall fuel economy. The new hybrid system allows the Silverado Hybrid to drive at up to 30 mph on electricity alone and also allows the engine to operate in its more economical V4 mode for longer periods. The Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid comes standard with the OnStar advanced communication system. The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid is powered by a dual-mode hybrid system and the 6.0-liter V8 engine is now E85 capable.
